Please welcome, Dr. Nicole J. Topilow as our newest oculofacial plastic surgeon at Eye Care of San Diego.
Nicole Topilow, M.D., is an ophthalmologist specializing in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. Her areas of expertise include functional and cosmetic eyelid and brow surgery, periocular reconstructive surgery, nasolacrimal and orbital surgery, thyroid eye disease management, and cosmetic injectables.
Dr. Topilow received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Barnard College at Columbia University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a major in Biological Sciences. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from New York University School of Medicine, where she received the merit-based Silverstein Scholarship. She then completed an internal medicine internship at Mount Sinai West / St. Luke’s Hospital in New York and ophthalmology residency training at the #1 ranked Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Topilow also completed a 2-year ASOPRS-accredited ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the prestigious University of California San Diego, Shiley Eye Institute. She has presented her research at national meetings and has authored textbook chapters and several peer-reviewed publications.
While a native to New York City, Dr. Topilow settled her family in San Diego after spending two years in fellowship at UCSD and falling in love with the area. She enjoys hiking, playing beach volleyball, cooking, and spending time with her husband and their baby girl. She also speaks Spanish.
Dr. Topilow is now accepting new patients for both medical and cosmetic and reconstructive oculofacial treatments, including brow surgery, injectables and facial rejuvenation procedures, starting in January 2025.
